The ‘green lighthouse’ is a zero-carbon buildings
in Nanjing which has been built in 2015. This building is certified by LEED
(leadership in energy and environmental design) which is an American
certification. The first picture shows the appearance
of ‘green lighthouse’. The ‘green lighthouse’ is located in high-tech zone. This
building is a demonstrative project which cooperate with Denmark. The light
source of ‘green lighthouse’ include roof and all around of this building. According
to Le Corbusier, ‘Light creates ambiance and feel of a space. As well as the
expression of structure’. Thus, the design philosophy of ‘green lighthouse’ is saving
energy, especially light energy. The following picture show the consideration
factors of zero carbon design. The zero carbon design could reduce energy
consumption. In addition, the ‘green lighthouse’ is maximum using renewable
energy sources.
The lighting technology of ‘green
lighthouse’ has been rigorous calculation. The jagged glass curtain wall has
variable illumination angle. The picture shows the design philosophy of jagged glass
curtain wall. The ventilation system of ‘green lighthouse’ adopt variable air
volume system (VAV). The picture shows the ventilation principle of ‘green
