The Perez Art Museum is located on Miami,
the United States. According to the ArquitectonicaGEO (2015), ‘elevating the
Museum 10 feet above storm surge requirements allowed parking below the Museum
in an unprecedented design that integrates parking, planting beds, irrigation
and storm surge storage’. The project set up rain gardens, the innovative
porous-floored paths and garage, which could collect water and reduce
infrastructure expenditures. The first
picture shows the appearance of Perez Art Museum.
The sustainability features of Perez Art
Museum include water collection system, ecosystem and rain garden. The water
source of water collection system cover seawater, rainwater, condensate water. The
water collection system also could reduce the flood problem. The Perez Art
Museum have more than 64,000 vegetation species, which could constitute
landscape, stabilize soil and absorb excess water. The second pictures show the
rich plant species diversity.
The green infrastructure of Perez Art
Museum has the multi-level landscape. The green infrastructure covers three
levels, which include the Museum entrance deck, the hanging gardens and ground
& parking level. The final pictures show the different levels of Perez Art
Museum.
