The primary school for sciences and biodiversity
project show the innovative a fully functional eco-system building. This project
has two section, one primary school and one gymnasium for local residents. These
two section be wrapped by the ‘mineral wall’, which is the main feature of
project. The first picture shows the structure of ‘mineral wall’.
The mineral wall is produced by precast
concrete. In this project, the precast concrete shows the two different type — sloppy
and ribwork. The ribwork wall have coarse and rugged surface, which could
provide rut for growth of plants and bird’s nest. The following picture shows
the feature of the mineral wall.
The roof of project is a real hanging
garden, which is made up of three-layer vegetation. The roof garden provides an
ecological corridor which cover abundant vegetation and animal species. The roof
through ramp connect the different floors. The green roof also provides an innovative
public communicative space for students and local residents. The hanging garden
have two main function: 1. The green roof garden and mineral wall ensure the
biological diversity continuation. 2. The green roof garden also improve the
living environment in this area, which provide an aerial landscape for surrounding
area. The following picture shows the design sketch of project.
