Yan Wei Zhou Park in China

The Yan Wei Zhou Park is an ecological projection project in Zhejiang, China. This project also an experimental project which focus on flood protection. The firstly picture shows the appearance of Yan Wei Zhou project. The design of project includes permeable pavement, flood bank and vegetation. The main feature of project is that create a communication space between nature and residents by bridge system of project. 
The bridge system is composed by several footbridges. These footbridges hang in the air and around the original water area. Residents could take a walk in these footbridges and observe in the near distance. The main objectives of Yan Wei Zhou Park include recovering rich ecosystem, protecting natural environment, increasing rainwater management capacity and reducing the effects of urban heat island. Thus, the designer of Yan Wei Zhou Park set up flood bank, aquatic plant, rainwater garden, rainwater collect system, permeable pavement and the ecological parking in the site. The following pictures show the water level of Yan Wei Zhou Park in dry season and flood season.

The bridge system has specific shape and color which create a new forms of public space. The special design plays a significant role which could connect the relationship with leisure space, flood bank, buildings and natural environment. The following pictures show the detail of bridge system.
